Job summary

Becton Dickinson in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer to drive innovation, operational excellence, and business continuity across the plant. Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional project teams to implement strategic plant initiatives and cost-saving targets.
  • Develop project plans, business justifications, technical specifications, and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit capital expenditure requests.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects including design changes, sustainability initiatives, process improvements, and equipment implementation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors on equipment design, specifications, concepts, and negotiations.
  • Oversee equipment purchases, installations, and development of new manufacturing processes.

Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving innovation, operational excellence, and business continuity across the plant. You'll lead impactful projects from concept through implementation while partnering with multi-functional teams to deliver measurable results.

What You'll Do
  • Lead multi-functional project teams to implement strategic plant initiatives, achieve cost savings targets, and support business continuity.
  • Develop project plans, business justifications, technical specifications, and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit capital expenditure requests.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects including product design changes, sustainability initiatives, process improvements, and equipment implementation.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Generate and champion new project ideas that bring value for the business.
  • Collaborate with vendors on equipment design, specifications, concepts, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee equipment purchases, installations, and the development of new manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Provide creative leadership in solving complex operational and technical challenges.
  • Independently identify solutions, secure resources, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement test methods, process validations, and measurement system analyses.
  • Support additional business initiatives and projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Science, or a related field required.
