Senior Project Engineer (Project Management)

GPI is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to join our Transportation Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) program in Northwest Florida (FDOT District 3).

Responsibilities:

1. Direct complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs, organizing work of staff and subordinate teams.
2. Develop and review policies, methods, practices, and procedures to ensure conformance with client standards.
3. Lead and manage CEI teams across multiple projects and locations, including remote field offices, supporting clients such as FDOT, local governments, and other agencies.
4. Plan work details, make technical decisions, monitor construction schedules, review contractor claims, and present findings to dispute resolution boards.
5. Evaluate and analyze complex construction and design issues, providing solutions for transportation projects.
6. Lead business development efforts, monitor work programs, prepare proposals, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Florida.
• 10+ years of CEI experience on transportation projects, including significant road/bridge construction (minimum 2 years), or 5+ years in major bridge construction.
• Ability to oversee complex construction administration and inspection programs.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• FDOT Advanced MOT, FDOT CTQP Quality Control Manager certifications.
