Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks an experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager to support about 30 capital projects at a refinery/petrochemical facility. This contract role emphasizes project engineering and management from planning through closeout, not construction management.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in relevant roles within refinery/petrochemical/oil & gas manufacturing, and excels coordinating with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project engineering/management experience.
• Refinery/petrochemical/oil & gas manufacturing experience.
• Experience managing multiple capital projects.
• Capital project planning through closeout experience.
• Experience with RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Collaboration with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, vendors and contractors.
• Strong cost, schedule, risk, and project execution skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Contract position experience or willingness to work under contract.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of ~30 capital projects at a refinery/petrochemical facility.
• Lead planning, execution, and closeout for each project.

Project Engineer/Project Manager – Capital Projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager to support a portfolio of approximately 30 capital projects at a refinery/petrochemical manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong project engineering/project management experience in a refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar manufacturing environment. This is a project-focused role, not a construction management position.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience
• Refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar manufacturing experience
• Experience managing multiple capital projects simultaneously
• Strong capital project experience from planning through execution and closeout
• Experience with RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Experience working with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, vendors, and contractors
• Strong cost, schedule, risk, and project execution experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
• Must be comfortable with a contract position

40 to 45 hours a week to start, hours will increase during outage.

PE/PMP certification is a plus, but not required.
