Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Leading project teams: Guiding the development and build of RF products, potentially for satellites or other platforms.

- Customer & Stakeholder Interaction: Communicating directly with customers and subcontractors, managing expectations, and defining work packages.

- RF System Design and Testing: Designing, building, and testing RF systems, potentially capable of handling both low-amplitude and high-frequency signals, in a variety of environments.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identifying and resolving technical issues, optimizing system performance, and proposing improvements.
- Managing technical baselines and product configurations: Ensuring consistency and integrity of designs.
- Supporting Business Development: Assisting with proposals and reviews.
- Project Execution and Management: Assisting program management with team organization, resource allocation, and project execution.
- Transitioning to Production: Ensuring a smooth transition from engineering development to production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required, with a preference for a master's or Ph.D..
- RF expertise: A solid understanding of RF principles, circuit design, wireless communication systems, and RF test equipment.
- Simulation & Modeling: Proficiency in RF modeling and simulation software (e.g., ADS, HFSS).
- Hands-on experience: Experience with RF testing and test equipment is highly desirable.
- Problem-solving and adaptability: The ability to address complex technical challenges and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in relevant areas: Experience in designing, building, and testing RF systems, particularly in a defense or aerospace context, is often preferred.
- Technical and Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with concepts like link budget analysis, frequency bandwidth planning, and related technical areas.
