Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for the Memphis-142 operations. You will manage construction projects, coordinate with field teams, prepare RFIs and submittals, and ensure QA/QC compliance. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and timely delivery on multi‑discipline projects.

Travel/relocation may be required per project needs. Minimum 4–7 years of project management experience plus a bachelor's in Construction Management or related field

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its Memphis‑142 operations based in Memphis, TN.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFIs and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
  • Assist in other duties as assigned

This position is safety‑sensitive.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements
  • Must have at least 4‑7 years’ experience managing construction projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship‑building abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Motivated self‑starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
  • Possess critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
  • Experience with metal stud framing and drywall, acoustical ceilings, exterior systems and cladding preferred.
  • Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
  • OSHA certification
  • Local to Memphis, TN
  • Willing to travel or relocate based on project needs
