Our client in the chemical industry is looking to add a talented Senior Project Engineer to their team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, procurement, execution and completion of small to large scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing projects including project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
Documents plan, assembles appropriation request, and obtains organizational project approvals.
Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
Develops RFP packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics.
Ensures safe implementation of project construction by enforcing the established safety rules and procedures.
Oversees contractor activities to insure they comply with established company standards.
Monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, etc.
Collaborates with other engineers and technical personnel and coordinates their specialized contributions to the development of the project.
Identifies, evaluates, monitors, and reports project risk according to company risk assessment policy.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years’ relevant experience in manufacturing environment, with 3+ years’ experience in project engineering/management.
A safety mindset applied to self, colleagues, and contractors.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings/diagrams.
Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
Project Management Certification is desirable.
Six Sigma training/certification is desirable.
