Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Mechanical/Project Engineer | $80K–$120K | On-site in PA | Relocation offered

From R&D-scale chemical systems to full pilot plants, we engineer, build, and optimize custom equipment and processing systems.

We’re looking for a Mechanical/Project Engineer who thrives on variety, ownership, and problem-solving. This is a hands-on, dynamic role ideal for someone who wants to see their work go from 3D model to real-world operation.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Use Autodesk Inventor to design custom systems, components, and skids in 2D and 3D
  • Design instrumentation systems for chemical processing applications
  • Conduct DFMEAs and risk assessments to improve reliability and prevent issues early
  • Design ASME and non-code pressure vessels (a big plus!)
  • Specify pumps, valves, and process control systems for seamless integration
  • Review and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) with process and controls engineers

Project & Fabrication Support

  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with in-house fabrication teams to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Inspect work for weld quality, assembly precision, and spec compliance
  • Support process engineering efforts: simulations, troubleshooting, and system optimization
  • Get involved in commissioning R&D systems and pilot plants
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering, quality, and safety
  • Tackle a variety of ad-hoc tasks — it’s part of working in a fast-moving, agile team

What We're Looking For:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of related experience (chemical plant or skid system design preferred)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Manufacturing or chemical plant background required
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% to customer sites
  • Highly self-motivated, comfortable in small teams and hands-on environments
