Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) seeks a Senior Project Engineer for the PCI 115 Houston operations based in Pasadena, TX. You will lead project execution, coordinate with field teams, and ensure schedules, quality, and safety standards are met.

The role requires 4–7 years of construction management experience, strong communication, and teamwork. Local to Houston with willingness to travel; safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Must have 4–7 years’ experience managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Read and interpret specifications and drawings with clarity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willing to learn new skills and apply them on projects.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 4-7 years’ experience managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Experience with different scopes of construction preferred
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
• OSHA certification
• Local to Houston area
• Willing to travel or relocate based on project needs
