Job summary

PC Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead technical resources on heavy civil, water, or wastewater projects in the Arlington, VA area. You will oversee project administration, procurement, cost control, scheduling, and document management to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

The role focuses on mentoring engineers and coordinating with field teams, owners, and subcontractors, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of contract management, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration activities.
• Review plans, specifications, and owner contracts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate procurement efforts, vendor pricing, subcontract negotiations, and material deliveries.
• Support budget management, owner billings, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
• Collaborate with field teams, owners, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve project challenges.
• Help drive project safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Mentor and support Project Engineers, Office Engineers, and interns.
