Job summary

Williams Companies, Inc. seeks a Project Director to lead the development and execution of complex power generation projects in Tulsa, OK. You will guide cross-functional teams through development, permitting, engineering, and construction, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget results.

The role requires strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement, with travel up to 25%. A PE or PMP certification is preferred, as is a Master’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 7+ years in engineering, project controls, development, operations and/or project management in power/utility industry.
• Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional project teams of engineers, PMs, and specialists to deliver high-impact outcomes with accountability.
• Manages utility-scale power projects from development through Commissioning and commercial operation.
• Oversees budgeting, design, permitting, and financial negotiations for projects.
