Job Description Summary
As related to customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects, responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources.
- Support the Product Development and Sales team during pre-award phase in creating scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Support the development of project revenue and costs budgets and use these as a baseline for project cost performance.
- Manage all commercial aspects of the project portfolio.
- Ensure performance against all financial metrics.
- Organize project cost structure in Oracle ERP.
- Perform customer work release review and compare with GEH estimate upon transfer of the proposal file from Commercial Operations to Project Management.
- Lead customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings.
- Accountable for overall project management strategy; interface & cooperate with all project management functions within the Advanced Reactor Project Office and with supplier PMO.
- Develop and issue the Project Management Plan & related project plans and procedures; promote their implementation across the project team.
- Recommend and implement improvements in project management processes and procedures.
- Lead the development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. government requirements.
- Identify and communicate project resource demands and coordinate supply, especially with Engineering.
- Support coordination of all project activities; monitor and control progress on deliverables.
- Ensure performance against schedule metrics, particularly on-time delivery.
- Ensure project deliverables conform to contract and project requirements; support resolution of technical and quality issues.
- Ensure all project operations follow procedures and applicable requirements.
- Coordinate & chair regular project meetings; prepare supporting materials.
- Develop and manage the project schedule with key suppliers, especially the Management Control Schedule.
- Leverage internal workforce planning tools in P6 ERP.
- Prepare and organize project correspondence; ensure communication to stakeholders.
- Archive project correspondence and records per the Project Configuration Management Plan.
- Lead and draft project meeting notes, action items, and progress reports.
- Perform oversight of key suppliers.
- Support risk assessment and management programs.
- Manage project risk processes and develop controls tools.
- Ensure invoicing aligns with contract and government requirements; review inputs for U.S. Government Accounting.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience on large power EPC projects.
- Minimum of 5 years Power Plant Design Experience.
- Minimum of 5 years nuclear industry experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Preferred location is at GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, but remote candidates based in the U.S. will be considered.
- Ability to travel to Canada up to 25% of the time.
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with U.S. government contracts, FAR.
- Familiarity with BWR and SFR designs.
- Scheduling software experience (Project, P3, P6).
- Leadership in project management programs.
- Knowledge of power industry and customer environment.
- Experience in power plant construction.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality.
- Contract management & claim experience.
- Cost estimating and financial control skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Six Sigma training preferred.
The pay range is $170,000-$210,000, with bonuses and benefits. The closing date is 6/27/2025. This position requires U.S. export-controlled information access approval.
