At Worley, we partner with customers across the energy, chemicals and resources sectors to solve critical infrastructure challenges and deliver projects that support both today's energy demands and tomorrow's low carbon transition.

As Senior Project Director - Power, you will provide executive leadership across major EPC and EPCM projects within complex, high-risk environments. You will influence business performance, strengthen customer relationships, and lead multidisciplinary teams through every phase of the project lifecycle. This is an opportunity to drive operational excellence, advance integrated project delivery practices, and contribute directly to projects that have long-term economic, environmental, and societal impact.

Purpose of the role

The Senior Project Director - Power provides strategic, commercial, and operational leadership for large and mega-scale power projects across consulting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities.

This role drives safe, predictable, and commercially successful project delivery while strengthening organizational capability and supporting Worley's ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions. Operating with broad management authority, the role partners closely with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, data-centric solutions that create long-term value across the asset lifecycle.

You will lead complex project organizations, guide delivery strategy, and ensure projects are executed in alignment with customer expectations, contractual commitments, and Worley's operational governance frameworks.

You will be responsible for
  • Providing executive leadership across large and mega power projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, and sustainable delivery outcomes.
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, quality, contracts, and HSE functions.
  • Driving a culture grounded in safety leadership, operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Developing and implementing integrated project execution strategies that support delivery certainty, commercial performance, and lifecycle value creation.
  • Overseeing project planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost management, and recovery planning activities to proactively manage risk and maintain predictable project performance.
  • Championing data-centric execution methodologies, digital project systems, and advanced work packaging practices to improve efficiency and project transparency.
  • Ensuring project delivery activities comply with Worley governance systems, customer contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Leading customer engagement activities and establishing trusted relationships with key stakeholders, partners, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Supporting business growth through proposal development, execution strategy leadership, customer presentations, commercial reviews, and strategic positioning activities.
  • Managing complex commercial frameworks including lump sum, reimbursable, unit rate, and hybrid contracting models.
  • Providing leadership in contract administration, claims mitigation, change management, dispute resolution, and commercial negotiations.
  • Leading organizational development initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Facilitating effective collaboration across global workshare and multicultural project environments to optimize delivery capability and resource utilization.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on project systems, governance, delivery methodologies, sustainability integration, and operational efficiency.
  • Acting as a visible advocate for health, safety, environmental, and security excellence across all project and operational activities.
