Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in leadership, project management, technical, operational, or supervisory roles.
  • Proven success leading teams within EPC, energy, chemicals, resources or related environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, governance, and business processes.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Experience managing significant portions of large projects and delivering performance.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, processes and technologies related to technical services.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, draw conclusions, and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical Services Manager

Play an integral role in advancing technical excellence and operational performance across complex projects and programs. As Technical Services Manager, you will bridge strategic business objectives with practical execution, ensuring technical teams, systems, and processes consistently deliver value for customers and support successful project outcomes.

This leadership role provides the opportunity to influence project delivery, drive continuous improvement, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the successful execution of projects across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. You will serve as a trusted technical leader, helping transform strategic direction into actionable plans that enhance operational effectiveness, strengthen customer relationships, and support sustainable business growth.

Purpose of the role

The Technical Services Manager is responsible for leading technical service functions, teams, and initiatives that support the successful delivery of projects and business operations. The role combines technical leadership, operational management, and strategic execution to ensure technical resources, systems, processes, and capabilities align with organizational priorities and customer requirements.

Working across functions and disciplines, you will guide the implementation of business objectives, develop practical solutions to complex challenges, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for

  • Leading and developing supervisors, technical professionals, and project teams to maximize engagement, capability, and performance.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, project stakeholders, and business leaders to support collaborative project execution.

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership, project management, technical, operational, or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and managing technical or operational functions within EPC, energy, chemicals, resources, industrial, infrastructure, or related environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, operational management, technical governance, and business processes.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities within complex and dynamic environments.
  • Experience managing projects or significant portions of large projects while delivering against performance expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, processes, and technologies relevant to technical services and project execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, develop conclusions, and implement effective business solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
