Job summary

CRB in Irvine, CA is seeking a Project Director to lead complex construction projects within the life sciences and related sectors. This senior role reports to the Director of Construction and oversees planning, budgeting, contracts, and client relationships to deliver on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in AEC, PMP/AECPMA/DBIA certifications, and proven ability to manage diverse teams, risk, and schedule while maintaining safety as a top priority across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Senior project management experience in AEC with single large project or portfolio.
• Proven leadership of integrated teams including subcontractors.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for project safety and meeting contract requirements.
• Oversee financial forecast accuracy, invoices, and claims resolution.
• Lead subcontracting strategy and buyout process.
• Direct design, BIM/VDC coordination, and risk mitigation.
• Support business development and pursuit efforts with estimating.
• Mentor and develop project staff and foster inclusive culture.
