Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking a Project Director to lead technically complex, multi-disciplinary projects on a full-time traveling basis, with a focus on Advanced Technology and Data Center markets. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and personnel while coordinating with owners, executives and strategic partners to deliver on contract obligations.

You will manage risk, lead bid and pursuit activities, and ensure compliance with safety programs and company standards across all project

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in construction project management.
• 10+ years experience in managing personnel.
• Experience on Joint Venture (JV) projects.
• Experience with bid-build, CMCG, design-build or similar delivery methods.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments and mentor staff.
• Ability to analyze financial documentation and manage project risk.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of a single assigned project including construction, budget and cash management to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Produces the project schedule, pay estimates, procedures and resources to complete the project on time; collaborates with external partnerships and JVs as needed.
• Develops and manages the project organizational chart and staffing for each production phase.
• Provides technical input to project pursuits and participates in bid interviews; resolves contract conflicts and scheduling issues with the owner.
• Engages with stakeholders including partners, executives, regulators and landowners to influence project success.
• Identifies project risks and negotiates change orders with the owner to maintain schedule and budget.
• Updates the project construction schedule and manages change orders; directs project closeout and resolution of claims.
• Delivers monthly project reports to Executive Leadership and supports project safety programs.
