This position serves as the primary client liaison responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of one or more super mega ($25M+) projects including contracting, project controls, quality, risk and change management. The Sr Project Director implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, this position provides strategic leadership for major infrastructure programs and capital investment initiatives throughout the Greater Houston region and similar high-growth markets. The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated experience leading complex transportation, public works, capital improvement, and program management initiatives for counties, municipalities, state transportation agencies, and other public-sector clients. This role is expected to collaborate in the development and execution of client account strategies and program delivery plans, identify opportunities for sustainable growth, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive-level client leadership. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead multiple programs and clients concurrently while building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing multidisciplinary teams capable of delivering large and complex infrastructure programs. Experience supporting the pursuit, mobilization, and delivery of countywide program management contracts, major capital programs, and transportation initiatives for agencies such as TxDOT, counties, municipalities, and other public infrastructure owners is highly desired. The individual will play a key role in advancing HNTB's presence in the Houston region through client development, strategic program leadership, and successful project delivery.
