Job summary

The Sustainable Partnership and a leading global IPP are seeking a senior project developer to lead the end-to-end development and M&A efforts for solar, wind, and BESS across the MISO and PJM markets in the United States.

You will oversee a diverse portfolio from origination to construction, drive feasibility, interconnection, and permitting, and coach junior team members, with travel up to 50% across the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of project development experience in utility-scale solar, wind or BESS projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the US up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a portfolio of utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects from origination to construction.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: site due diligence, land control, environmental/permitting, interconnection, engineering and pre-construction, tax equity financing, energy yield analysis and tax abatement.
• Drive cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up capex, collaborating with precon and procurement teams.
• Mentor and support junior development managers and associates.
• Lead due diligence on project acquisitions in coordination with the M&A team.

The Sustainable Partnership is working closely with a leading global IPP that develop and operate solar, energy storage and wind projects. This position will lead project development and M&A efforts across the MISO & PJM markets for solar & BESS projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of a portfolio of utility scale solar, wind and energy storage projects, from early-stage origination through to construction
• Oversee the complete project lifecycle, spanning site due diligence, land control, environmental and permitting work, interconnection, engineering and pre construction activities, tax equity financing, energy yield analysis and tax abatement processes
• Drive cost estimating and the EPC bidding process to firm up capital expenditure, working closely with precon and procurement teams
• Mentor and support junior development managers and associates
• Lead due diligence on project acquisitions, working alongside the M&A team

Candidate profile:
