Job description

We're partnered with an established, well-capitalized renewable energy IPP that develops, acquires, and operates a large portfolio of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects.

The company is continuing to grow as part of its coast-to-coast mandate and is pursuing an aggressive mix of greenfield development and acquisitions to accelerate growth in PJM & MISO.

This is a high-autonomy, face-of-the-market role for a developer who wants to quarterback PJM strategy and execution — sourcing, screening, and executing on both organic development and acquisition opportunities, with direct exposure to senior leadership and real ownership from day one.

What You'll Do
  • Own and execute development and acquisition strategy across PJM (primary) and MISO (secondary)
  • Lead solar and storage projects from origination or acquisition through NTP
  • Identify, evaluate, and diligence acquisition opportunities, including deal screening and commercial due diligence
  • Manage the full PJM interconnection process, from application through executed interconnection agreements
  • Secure land, permits, and entitlements, directing internal resources and third-party consultants
  • Cultivate relationships with landowners, municipalities, utilities, and offtakers to originate commercial opportunities
  • Support offtake and PPA negotiations alongside the commercial team
  • Track relevant policy, tariff, and market developments to inform regional strategy
What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of utility-scale renewable energy development experience
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the PJM interconnection processes; MISO and other markets a plus
  • Track record executing solar and/or solar+storage projects; wind experience a plus
  • Direct experience with acquisitions — deal screening, diligence, M&A execution, post-acquisition development
  • Strong permitting, interconnection and offtake background, with projects advanced through NTP/financial close
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage landowner, community, Developer/IPP/M&A counterparty, and other stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to develop, own, and execute M&A and development strategy in assigned region
