Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist in Minneapolis, MN to lead project controls with the internal PM team, ensuring budgets and schedules are met across multiple projects.

You will set up projects, create WBS, develop schedules, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts, and support audits. Strong communication and MS Office skills required; travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field and 3 years of direct project controls experience.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls processes with the internal project management team.
• Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and scheduling logic.
• Review payment orders, change orders, and cost forecasts with accounting.
• Perform field audits to validate reporting accuracy and support audits.
