Job summary

PM2CM, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Controls Scheduler in Los Angeles County, CA, for a hybrid-remote role (in-office/field on Tue and Wed).

You will create, maintain, and analyze project schedules to support project management and control efforts, collaborating with project teams to align schedules with project objectives. Responsibilities include baseline development, critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or related field.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and processes.
  • Knowledge of earned value management and schedule risk analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop, baseline, and monitor project schedules.
  • Validate project schedules for compliance with contractual requirements, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Perform critical path analysis and develop schedule risk assessments.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports and analysis to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support project controls functions, including cost control, change management, and progress monitoring.
  • Identify schedule impacts, risks, and opportunities, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate representation of project scope, milestones, and deliverables in the schedule.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including anticipated versus actual dates, milestones, and critical path activities.
