Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Portland, OR is seeking a Project Controls Manager with 6+ years in financial or analytical roles to oversee project accounting, budgeting, reporting, and billing for a significant program. You will coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and project teams while ensuring contract compliance and timely financial insights.

Responsibilities include monitoring timekeeping, processing invoices, managing payables, and producing accurate project reports to support profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field, plus minimum 6 years relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive tasks to completion.
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and large accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounting functions for significant project or program, coordinating with clients and project teams.
• Manages client billing requirements and internal processes.
• Monitors contract terms and subcontractor compliance.
• Monitors timecard accuracy and resolves timekeeping errors.
• Prepares project financial reports, analyses, and budgets.
• Tracks work orders and charges; reports project status to supervisors.
• Maintains project accounting files and reviews reports for accuracy.
• Manages billings and payments; resolves disputes and adjusts records.
• Reviews accounts payable processing; ensures timely payments and GL distribution.
