Job summary

Motive Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Houston to lead the project controls team through the full project lifecycle.

You will partner with project managers to establish baselines, develop and integrate schedules, manage change control, and report performance to stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in project controls, strong skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and a proven ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams in utilities, construction, or energy

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in project controls, including leadership of project controls teams.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the project controls team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with project managers to establish baselines for schedule and scope.
• Implement and enforce project controls standards, procedures and best practices.
• Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring alignment between owner and contractor timelines.
• Monitor and report on project performance including schedule progress and risks.
• Manage changes through a formal change control process.
• Conduct risk assessments and track mitigations.
• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders.
• Support training and development of project controls personnel.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all activities.
