Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, analyze variances, and prepare reports for stakeholders, ensuring integration of risk reserves into forecasts.

Responsibilities include managing complex baselines, performing EV analyses, and guiding project teams on budgeting, scheduling and performance reporting. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management and cost/schedule control.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and ERP/forecasting tools.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop time‑phased schedule and cost baselines for projects.
• Collect and analyze monthly schedule and cost data, identify variances.
• Maintain risk reserves and integrate into financial forecasts.
• Prepare standardized reports for stakeholders and management.
• Provide guidance on financial controls, procedures, and forecasting.
