Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across various locations in the U.S. You will develop schedules and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, identify variances, and assist in root cause analysis.

You will maintain risk reserves and communicate forecasts through standardized reports. Responsibilities include working with project teams to implement financial controls, and preparing client and internal status reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5 years of related experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience with federal/government regulations and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops integrated time-phased schedules and budgets for moderate-to-high complexity projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and cost forecasts.
• Performs variance and risk analyses and prepares financial reports.
• Collaborates with project teams and managers to ensure alignment with baselines and forecasts.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise engineers.
