Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to lead the Project Controls team and oversee cost estimates, forecasts, and schedules across all project phases.

You will apply Earned Value Management, develop Work Breakdown Structures, coordinate with scheduling staff, manage risks, and drive improvements to project controls systems while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus ten years relevant experience.
• Strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills with excellent communication.
• Experience using cost/schedule data to evaluate project status.
• Proficient with budgets, cash flows, financial analysis and schedules.
• Familiar with Primavera or MS Project.
• Ability to manage large datasets and build trend curves and dashboards.
• PMI PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Project Controls team as SME.
• Maintain detailed project cost estimates and forecasts across all phases.
• Track budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts using EVM.
• Perform forecast/variance, trend and risk analyses.
• Develop and improve project controls systems and tools.
• Create WBS and ensure cost control in contracts and PO.
• Coordinate with scheduling to integrate project schedules.
• Manage internal job costing and PSRs.
• Provide senior budgeting, forecasting, and client management support.
• Support bid reviews to include cost control requirements.
