Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, and ensure accurate forecasting.

The role requires collaboration with project teams and management to maintain controls and compliance. Responsibilities include preparing earned value reports, cost variance analysis, and risk management while supporting implementation of financial controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in project controls or similar.
• Experience with schedule and cost baselines, Earned Value Management.
• Proven ability to develop time-phased project cost plans.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains integrated schedules and cost baselines for projects.
• Collects and analyzes monthly schedule and cost data, identifies variances and root causes.
• Maintains risk reserves and integrates into forecasts; produces standard reports for stakeholders.
• Supports financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentors junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
