Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join the North Carolina team in Charlotte. The role leads a small team of Project Control Specialists and Schedulers, developing budgets and schedules, monitoring progress, and reporting to clients and program managers.

You will establish procedures for variances, manage change control, and oversee Earned Value Management and cost control efforts using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Oracle EBS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in project controls on engineering and construction projects.
• Experience with budgets, schedules, cost control and EVM.
• Ability to coordinate multiple long- and short-term tasks.

Responsibilities

• Establish procedural framework for variances reporting and reconciliation.
• Manage adherence to project controls practices and change procedures.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and report to project staff and client.
• Lead coordination meetings and review change documentation.
• Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Perform financial reporting with Excel and EBS dashboards.
• Mentor and train other Project Controls Specialists.
