Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC (Techno) is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support a multibillion-dollar capital program for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ). You will oversee cost management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, performance monitoring, and reporting to ensure delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in project controls, cost management, scheduling, or project management within large-scale construction or infrastructure programs.
• Experience supporting major transportation, infrastructure, aviation, or public-sector capital construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost estimating, forecasting, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Experience monitoring project performance, analyzing cost and schedule variances, and identifying project risks.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, cost control, and reporting software.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with senior leadership, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project controls activities, including cost management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and performance reporting.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, commitments, and financial performance; identify variances and propose corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and review schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Identify potential risks and impacts affecting project delivery and advise mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project status reports, financial analyses, dashboards, and management briefings.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, schedulers, contractors, consultants, and client representatives for consistent reporting.
