Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the Engineering Department's consultant services programs, overseeing procurement workflows, budget oversight, and compliance across the Capital Plan.

Reporting to the Program Director, the role directs a multidisciplinary team, ensures timely procurement, and delivers high‑quality engineering support across divisions, engaging with stakeholders and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 25+ years?
• Experience in procurement and contract administration.
• Experience with SAP, AVM, ERP systems.
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of consultant services agreements and task orders from solicitation through award and contract execution.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, program amounts, and funding restrictions.
• Review agreements, award letters, POs, amendments, and related documents.
• Develop reports and metrics for executive management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance for efficient program delivery.
