Job summary

Colorado Springs Utilities seeks a Project Controls Principal to lead the project controls team within the System Planning & Projects Division in Colorado Springs. You will develop and oversee cost, schedule, and change control processes to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while mentoring junior team members.

This role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, extensive cost engineering experience, PMI PMP and AACEi certifications preferred, and proficiency with PM software,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strongly preferred.
• Extensive cost engineering and planning/scheduling experience in construction/engineering.
• PMI PMP certification and AACEi certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead junior controls team members with coaching and mentoring.
• Oversee controls projects and initiatives to meet scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Develop and implement project controls and monitoring procedures.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, and finance teams on processes and tools.
• Produce reports on labor, schedule status, cost performance, and EV curves.
