Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across locations in the United States. You will develop and maintain schedule and cost baselines, analyze variances, and assist in root-cause analysis to inform forecasts and management decisions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, with extensive EVMS experience and proficiency in Primavera P6 and EcoSys.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs earned value management (EVM) reporting and analyzes variances and risks.
• Implements financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentors and provides guidance to junior staff on project controls practices.
