Job summary

CRB is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead cost, scheduling, forecasting and performance visibility across integrated design and construction projects in our advanced facilities portfolio. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in project controls within construction, EPC, or design-build environments, with GMP-regulated life sciences experience and proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, cost management, or project management within construction, EPC, or design-build environments.
• Experience supporting GMP-regulated or highly technical Life Sciences design and/or construction.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both design and construction phases of complex projects.
• Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6 or similar), forecasting, and earned value management.
• Experience working in design-build, integrated EPC, or engineer-led project delivery models.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and project controls software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls activities across both design-phase and construction-phase projects, including cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project budgets, cost-loaded schedules, and cash flow forecasts from early design through construction.
• Support design-phase cost modeling, schedule development, and scope validation in partnership with engineering and estimating teams.
• Oversee change management across design development and construction execution, including trend logs, change estimates, and impact analysis.
• Provide regular project performance and forecast reporting to Project Directors, leadership, and clients.
• Identify cost, schedule, and execution risks and mitigation strategies across design development and field execution.
• Ensure alignment with CRB project controls standards, tools, and reporting templates.
• Support baseline development, earned value analysis, progress measurement, and productivity tracking.
• Collaborate with estimating, procurement, contracting, engineering, and construction teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Mentor and support project controls staff, cost engineers, and analysts as needed.
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings representing CRB’s project controls expertise.
