Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Lead Project Controls professional in a senior staff role across planning, cost management, and project controls leadership. You will independently apply advanced project controls techniques, manage commercial issues, and guide less experienced personnel with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes forecasting accuracy, staff leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on complex projects while maintaining safety and integrity across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling, or 10+ years without a four-year degree in Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days depending on manager discretion, performance and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Leads a Project Controls (PJC) function or team and positively influences internal and external clients.
• Achieves a high level of forecasting accuracy and proactively addresses issues.
• Leads cost control, scheduling, and change management across complex projects; ensures contractual requirements are addressed.
• Leads and develops project controls staff, ensures tools and processes are in place, and collaborates with management to identify issues and trends.
