Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a talented Project Controls Engineer to lead the program master schedule for a large, complex program. You will ensure complete cost and schedule integration aligned with the contractual scope, and assist the Program Manager with day-to-day performance on scope, schedule, cost and risk.

The role supports mission-critical work within the Aegis Combat Systems program office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 4+ years of project controls / project management experience.
• Experience managing program scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality.
• Familiarity with earned value management and six sigma principles.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Proficiency with PowerBI, Excel PowerQuery and Macros.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of the program master schedule and IMS.
• Integrate cost & schedule aligned with contractual scope.
• Assist Program Manager with day‑to‑day performance of scope, schedule, cost and risk.
• Support PMO management and program reviews.
• Proactively implement continuous improvement in schedule management.
• Foster honest and transparent communication within the team.
