Job summary

Aegis is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to deliver CPM scheduling and project controls services for data center projects. You will collaborate with client PMs, field teams, and stakeholders to develop baselines, monitor progress, and report on status against milestones.

This on-site role requires 5+ years in project controls, expertise in Primavera P6, and strong communication. The position offers growth opportunities within a dynamic team and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction.
  • Experience developing construction schedules for data center projects is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interpret construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules.
  • Review project documents to create baselines with all activities and milestones.
  • Perform progress updates and generate narratives for reporting.
  • Analyze critical paths and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct site walks and prepare monthly reporting packages.
  • Review contractor progress and present findings to management.
  • Create metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support programs.
  • Manage costs, resources, and risk impacts within schedules.
  • Communicate status and challenges to project teams and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valuedclient'sdata centerpractice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage,andmonitorCPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle.This role is a significantproject team position withmany growth opportunities.


General responsibilities include:


  • Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.



  • Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules that accurately include all required dates, activities, and milestones.



  • Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.



  • Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.



  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.



  • Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.



  • Review the contractor’s progress and present it to management for decision-making.



  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.



  • Cost and resource management and reporting.



  • Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.



  • Communicate project status and challenges effectively.



  • Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.


Requirements:


  • Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.



  • Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.



  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.



  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.



  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.



  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.



  • Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects.



  • Cost and resource management and reporting,



  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,



  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.



  • This role requires being full-time on-site.
