Senior Project Controls Analyst – Power & Utilities

We are currently seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support our growing Power team in California. In this role, you will contribute directly to complex infrastructure initiatives, working alongside experienced project professionals to drive cost, schedule, and performance excellence.

Role & Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Performing cost analysis, forecasting, and budget tracking
  • Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) and variance analysis
  • Preparing weekly and monthly project performance reports, including KPIs, progress curves, and cost/schedule trends
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and stakeholders to align plans, actuals, and forecasts
  • Managing change control processes and evaluating impacts to cost and schedule
  • Supporting project risk reviews and contingency planning
  • Ensuring compliance with client and PTAG project controls standards and procedures

Qualifications / Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of project controls experience on capital projects, with experience in Transmission & Distribution and Substation projects
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with cost management systems such as EcoSys or Prism is an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of EVM and project performance metrics
  • PMP, AACEI (CCP, PSP), or similar certification is considered an asset
