Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is looking for a Project Civil Engineer to join their team in Spring, Texas. This role involves designing civil site solutions for large-scale energy projects across North America, providing mentorship to junior staff, and working in a multi-disciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure, and a minimum of five years of civil design experience, especially in electric utility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required.
• Minimum five years of civil design experience necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is expected.
• Proficient with various Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in electric utility design for substations and transmission lines.

Responsibilities

• Design civil site, access, and drainage systems for renewable energy projects.
• Develop civil construction specifications and assist in cost estimates.
• Support design of substation structures and site development.
• Perform stormwater calculations for retention and detention facilities.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams for project execution.
• Manage subcontractors involved in grading designs.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Ability to work with moderate supervision

Experience in electric utility design

MicroStation Inroads design experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
