Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Project Architect / Architectural Designer to join our Buildings practice. You will lead design through sketches, models, and BIM, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver fiscally responsible, cutting-edge designs.

Licensure is preferable but not required. Typical duties include developing plans, elevations, and details, reviewing shop drawings, and managing multiple teams across phases while collaborating with remote

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accessibility and building codes and standards.
• Understanding of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of building construction systems, means, methods, materials and standards.
• Ability to conduct space planning and adjacencies in coordination with program.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for large projects of high complexity.
• Develop design through sketches, models, diagrams and massing studies.
• Utilize BIM in development of 3D models of buildings and components.
• Lead project coordination and meetings with internal and external teams.
• Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and revise documentation across architectural phases.
