Job summary

Cedar is building the operating system for urban housing delivery, combining architecture with software and data systems. As Senior Project Architect, you will lead 1–3 residential projects, coordinate with designers and consultants, and mentor junior staff while shaping Cedar's growing product catalog software.

You will guide projects from concept through construction administration, ensure buildable documentation, and drive design excellence in fast-paced urban environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in an architectural office.
• 6+ years in a project architect or job captain role, running the day-to-day of architectural projects
• 4+ years in the residential architecture sector is required. Multi-family experience preferred.
• Education: 5-year BArch or MArch degree (preferred)
• Proficiency in design and documentation software (Revit, Autocad, Rhino, Enscape, Bluebeam)

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day execution of one to three residential projects concurrently
• Gather project data from key stakeholders and manage this data throughout the life of a project
• Produce and oversee project models, presentations, and documentation through key milestones.
• Lead some projects with 1-2 more junior staff under your direct supervision
• Curate specifications, product selections, and draw/manage the execution of all details
• Plan and maintain project schedules and staffing
• Serve as primary client contact and coordinator for schedules, milestones, and delivery
