Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect in Los Angeles to lead architectural design from concept through construction. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure design intent, and coordinate with engineers, consultants, and clients.

You will mentor junior staff, manage schedules and budgets, and contribute to business development while delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered Architect license in California.
• 10+ years of architectural design and project delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and detailing.
• Experience developing contract documents including drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical delivery on complex mid-size and large-scale projects.
• Establish project design direction, technical standards, and quality expectations.
• Develop design concepts and strategies with engineering disciplines and BOD integration.
• Oversee production and quality review for design submissions, drawings, and specs.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Provide technical leadership during construction and respond to RFIs.
