Cardello Architects in Westport, CT is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead custom high-end residential projects from concept through construction. You will collaborate closely with the Founder and Principal, guiding design decisions and translating them into refined, buildable solutions that reflect the firm’s aesthetic and each client’s goals.

You will mentor junior staff, review documentation, and ensure quality across the studio.

Formación

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 8-15 years of professional experience in custom high-end residential design.
• Architectural licensure required; NCARB certification preferred.
• Strong design skills with a portfolio showing concept to completed residential work.
• Proficiency in Revit; ability to contribute to production and document output.
• Experience coordinating consultants and contractors; managing schedules and budgets.
• Excellent communication; mentoring capability for junior staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; Rhino or SketchUp preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead custom residential projects through concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Collaborate with the Founder and Principal to translate design ideas into refined, buildable solutions reflecting the firm’s aesthetic and client goals.
• Prepare and guide design presentations; coordinate decisions with clients, consultants, contractors, and the internal project team.
• Manage deliverables, identify issues early, and follow through on commitments.
• Perform quality control reviews of construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Resolve detailing challenges, review shop drawings, submittals, and samples; conduct site observations and field reports.
• Mentor junior and intermediate staff through regular design reviews and documentation guidance.
