Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Architect to lead and coordinate complex infrastructure design efforts across the nation. You will work with architects, engineers, planners and technical specialists to shape solutions for water, transit, and industrial facilities.

Join a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior staff, and ensure documentation, material selection, and compliance with codes. Travel up to 10% may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. RA certification required.
• 7 years of related experience. Travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, program, and formulate building design and prepare design presentations and construction contract documents.
• Coordinate building design and construction documents with architectural and multi-discipline staff.
• Mentor junior architectural staff on multi-discipline projects.
• Research and select construction materials, technologies, and detailing methodologies.
