Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead architectural design efforts across Detroit, Grand Rapids, MI, and Minneapolis, MN offices. You will guide project teams through all design phases, balance client needs with budgets, and drive innovative solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

The role requires leading architects, designers and engineers, mentoring teams, and coordinating with clients and agencies to deliver high-quality building designs on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Architecture from a NAAB accredited professional program.
• 6+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Architect in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership and guidance on complex projects.
• Lead the development of contract documents through all design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA).
• Coordinate design reviews with clients, PMs and municipal agencies to ensure alignment with budgets and schedules.
• Mentor architectural design teams and coordinate with engineering disciplines.
• Stay current with BIM, Revit, ACC, AI, Bluebeam and other design software developments.
• Apply innovative design thinking to maximize value for clients.
