Job summary

Chord Design Studio is seeking a licensed architect with 10+ years of project leadership to direct design, documentation, and coordination from early design through construction administration. You will lead client communications, manage consultants, review drawings for constructability, and mentor others while safeguarding scope, schedule, and budget.

You bring deep Revit proficiency, strong detailing, and experience coordinating across trades.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience, including 5+ years in a project manager role; hospitality/aviation/restaurant a plus.
• At least 3 years of construction administration with full lifecycle responsibility.
• Strong detailing and coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other trades.
• Advanced Revit proficiency and knowledge of construction methods and code coordination.
• Clear, confident communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team.
• Portfolio of project leadership and detailing.
• NCARB Certification, Forma/Construction Cloud experience, and Deltek Vantagepoint are pluses.
• Based in the Denver metro area, within 50 miles of DEN airport.

Responsibilities

• Leading small to midsize projects from design through construction administration.
• Own day-to-day client and consultant communications, updates, and decisions.
• Review drawings and documentation for accuracy and constructability.
• Direct full trade coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants.
• Track schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client decisions points.
• Manage construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, ASIs/addenda, site observations.
• Mentor team members and ensure deadlines and quality expectations.
