Job summary

Rapt is a design and strategy studio seeking Senior Designers (Project Architects) to lead the technical execution and delivery of complex projects from concept through construction administration.

You will collaborate with Creative Directors, design teams, and consultants, manage multiple streams, ensure design intent and technical quality, and mentor staff; relocation package offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• 12+ years of experience in architecture or design studio.
• Proficiency with integrated BIM processes and Revit.
• Excellence in handling complex drawing sets.
• Strong knowledge of local codes and jurisdictional processes.
• Expert in architectural detailing and material junctions.
• Experience with architect/owner and consultant contracts and procurement methods.
• Ability to develop design-stage schedules and review construction schedules.
• Experience running pre-construction RFPs and managing related schedules and procurement.
• Extensive contract administration experience and CA streams.
• Experience coordinating with sub-consultants.
• Experience leading internal project teams and creating work plans.
• Experience compiling 3-part and outline specifications.
• Experience on commercial projects including ground-up, core-shell, and creative workplaces.
• Mentoring design staff; interest in their growth.
• State licensure or pursuing licensure is a plus.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution and delivery of complex projects across all phases.
• Coordinate with Creative Directors, design teams, consultants, and internal groups.
• Ensure projects are coordinated, well-documented, and executed to high standards.
• Manage complex project streams and lead teams while preserving design intent and quality.
• Oversee pre-construction processes, schedules, and procurement strategies.
• Mentor staff and support professional development.
