Job summary

Heights Venture in Houston, TX, seeks a Project Architect/Architectural Project Manager to lead design through construction on commercial projects. You will develop architectural drawings and BIM models, coordinate submittals, and mentor junior staff while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality.

Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to preserve design intent and deliver constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Licensure or progress toward licensure preferred.
• 8+ years of architecture experience with strong design and documentation.
• Experience managing submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase docs.
• Proficiency with BIM workflows for design, documentation, and coordination.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Experience on commercial projects (retail, multifamily, hospitality, etc.).
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from design through construction completion.
• Develop architectural drawings and specifications; coordinate BIM models.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain design intent.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement of design and delivery.
