Job summary

KAI is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead the production of construction documents and guide a multi-disciplinary design team in Saint Louis, MO. The role emphasizes BIM coordination, design development, and construction administration to maximize efficiency and project value within an integrated design and construction practice.

The Senior Project Architect will oversee drafting, coordination with consultants, and adherence to production standards while reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture is required.
• Registered Architect is required; NCARB preferred. May be required to sign/seal project documents.
• 10+ years of experience in the profession, primarily on projects similar to KAI.
• Knowledge of architectural production practices and documentation standards.
• Experience with 3D software programs such as SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape is valuable.
• Experience assisting on projects during bidding and construction administration.
• Experience supervising teams in producing project documents and coordinating sub-consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary team to leverage talents for project success.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Collaborate within digital design (BIM) team for consistent outcomes.
• Develop compliant construction documents and align with production standards.
• Provide weekly progress reports to the Project Manager and manage labor hours.
• Mentor junior staff in technical production aspects.
