Job description

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a senior project architect. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for aviation facility projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members; and working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners. Assist Project Manager with pursuing projects; coordinating and leading project teams; building and maintaining strong client relationships; developing and executing project workplans; scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings; developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree(or higher)in architecture from an accredited college or university
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience, two of which should be at the project architect level
  • Current architectural license in the state office is located
  • Valid Driver’s License

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Experience leading architectural teams through each stage of project development for aviation facilities
  • Experience leading architectural teams through bidding and construction administration phase services for aviation facilities
  • LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
  • NCARB Certified
  • Business development experience – seeking out and following through on new project opportunitiesin coordination with a team
  • Experience leading architectural services for federal facilities projects is a plus
