NewGround, a world-class design and build firm headquartered in St. Louis with offices across North America, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect based in Chicago or St. Louis.

The Senior Project Architect will lead project teams from concept to completion, working closely with the Design Director and studio team. Responsibilities include maintaining communication with stakeholders, guiding technical drawings, managing budgets, and ensuring project timelines and design goals are met.

General Skills

• Strong organization

• Proficiency in producing construction documents for commercial projects

Software Knowledge

• Proficient in Revit and SketchUp
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with Procore or similar software
• Experience with Speclink or similar software

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to project design development
• Coordinate with project teams and external consultants
• Lead client presentations and meetings
• Coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Assist in contract change orders and shop review
• Conduct site visits as needed
• Develop project specifications and details
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
• Mentor junior staff and support the team
