Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program required
- 10+ years of experience in an architecture firm
- Architecture license required for Senior Project Architect
- Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
Key Competencies
- Strong design orientation, verbal and written communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, including the ability to listen carefully and document conversations and meetings
- Able to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Experience in designing and producing contract documents for projects of all sizes and complexities
- Advanced understanding of architectural detailing, specifications, contract documents, contract administration, and design practice
- Advanced knowledge, understanding, and application of building codes and guidelines and typical Client Facility Standards
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team including design, selection, coordination, architectural and interior detailing, and development of the technical specifications
- Lead presentation of ideas to the design team and to clients. Communicate project status and build relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other team members
- Communicate with other design disciplines, vendors, product representatives, and Owner’s vendors to ensure coordination of engineering systems, equipment, and project documents
- Prepare written documentation of meetings and other communication related to the project
- Ensure that deliverables meet internal and external project parameters, including time, budget, and scope. Monitor adherence to the work plan
- Proactively monitor project progress. Perform quality assurance reviews of design and contract documents. Provide constructive feedback and support to the design team
- Provide mentorship to Project Architects, Project Interior Designers, Project Designers, and Designers
- Provide subject matter expertise. Contribute to firm-wide quality assurance and quality control processes. Prepare presentations and lead activities at RMC University meetings
